PANA Holdings Strengthens Ties with NITDA to Drive Nigeria’s Digital Transformation
Our Chairman, Mr. Daere Akobo, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, Director General/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
The visit was aimed at establishing a partnership between PANA Holdings and NITDA, with a focus on accelerating Nigeria’s digital transformation. The discussion centered around two key areas:
- National Digital Literacy Framework: Achieving 70% digital literacy by 2027 through diversification and inclusivity.
- NITDA’s 8 Pillars: Fostering digital literacy, building a robust tech research ecosystem, strengthening policy implementation, and more.
Some of the key action points discussed include:
- Foster Digital Literacy & Cultivate Talent: Conduct training through formal education programs, train teachers using Cisco-developed materials, and collaborate with NYSC for local penetration.
- Build a Robust Technology Research Ecosystem: Focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain technologies.
- Strengthen Policy Implementation and Legal Framework: Establish data centers, build and promote cloud services, develop framework guidelines, and establish SPVs to lay 95 fiber cable networks.
